"Help us send Your Trauma Response and Care Chaplains to serve in professional or personal crisis to law enforcement families and community."

We have all heard it. In fact, most of us have even said it. "Let me know if I can do anything for you." It's difficult to watch someone we love hurting and not know what to do our say to bring comfort. Unfortunately, when someone experiences great loss they don't always express what they need. They just hurt.

You can make a difference by donating to LECS and check out the list below for some of the different ways you can "do something" to reach the broken hearted. Consider making a monthly recurring gift, hosting a fundraiser or giving through your workplace. Regardless of how you choose to give, your donation provides important financial support to continue Law Enforcement Chaplain Sacramento's services to those who are hurting.

All Chaplaincy services are available at no cost to the individuals, families, or departments. Please consider becoming our financial partner.

Recurring Gifts -

Make easy, recurring donations conveniently charged to your credit card on a weekly, monthly or even yearly basis.

Thank you for your interest in setting up a recurring gift to support Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento. Please complete the form below and select an option to give monthly or quarterly. Once you have made your donation, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Your donations will begin on the day specified (1st or 15th of the month).

Planned Giving -

Include the Chaplaincy in your financial, tax or estate planning goals through our planned giving program. Include Law Enforcement Sacramento in your financial, tax or estate planning goals through our planned giving program and become a Legacy Partner. With a planned gift to the Chaplaincy, you can combine your desire to support compassionate crisis response through your overall financial, tax and estate planning goals. Your planned gift gives you a special connection to the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy and will help ensure that we can continue our work for years to come.

Legacy Partners are those who have chosen to leave a legacy of compassion through their estate plans. They have often been touched by a Chaplain personally or have a strong desire to make a real difference for those suffering great loss. By becoming a Legacy Partner, you make an important decision to include the LEC-S in your future plans.

We would be happy to speak to your representative, such as a lawyer or financial advisor. It is highly recommended that you consult with your own tax or legal advisors prior to making a planned gift. For more information or to further discuss planned gifts, please contact us at (916) 978-0296 or email us at admin@sacchaplains.com

Gifts of Stock or Other Annuities -

Invest with compassion with your tax-deductible gift of stock or other annuities. Make an investment in the community with your tax-deductible gift of stock or other annuities and you could avoid capital gains taxes and brokerage fees. A gift of stock that has increased in value and that you have owned for more than one year can provide much-needed support for Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento, and offer you financial benefits as well. Publicly traded securities such as stocks and bonds may be able to be transferred to LEC-S, entitling you to an income tax deduction for the full market value of the securities. With a gift of securities to the Chaplaincy, you avoid any capital gains taxes you might be liable for if you sell the stock. You might also save by not incurring brokerage fees because you are transferring ownership rather than selling the stock. Gifts of appreciated securities that pay little or no dividends make especially good choices for charitable contributions.

Become a Business Partner -

Join other socially responsible businesses in supporting this special work in the community. Help get your customers and employees involved by joining other socially responsible businesses in supporting Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento. In today's economy, people believe it's more important than ever for companies to be socially responsible. In fact, 79 percent of Americans say that they would be likely to switch from one brand to another, when price and quality are about equal, if the other brand is associated with a good cause (Cone Cause Evolution Survey, 2008). Globally, 66 percent of people believe it is no longer enough for corporations to merely give money away but that they must integrate good causes into their day-to-day business (2009 Edelman goodpurpose™ Consumer Study). Cause-marketing promotions provide great opportunities to involve consumers and employees in this vital work we do. By partnering with LEC-S, you're aligning your business with a nationally recognized organization focused on providing compassionate crisis responders to the community during their darkest moments.

Give Through Your Work -

Make easy donations through your workplace. Give through your workplace and take advantage of matching gifts or enjoy the ease of making donations through automatic payroll deductions. Many businesses, including the federal government, will help facilitate your gift through a workplace program. Your employer may even offer matching funds, which makes your money go even further! Through workplace giving, employees donate to charitable organizations of their choice, primarily through one-time or ongoing payroll deductions. This easy and efficient way to give provides a steady source of income for Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento. To find out if your company participates, check with your employer's human resources or corporate giving personnel and ask to include the LEC-S as your beneficiary of choice.

LECS is a part of the Combined Federal Campaign for Federal Employees, a charitable giving program for employees of the federal government whose aim is to promote philanthropy. To pledge online, visit the CFC website (http://www.cfcnca.org/), and enter the Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento's CFC donation code.

Many employers offer matching gift programs to encourage employees to contribute to charitable organizations. Most of these programs match contributions dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple the amount of your gift! To find out if your employer will match gifts to Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento, check with the human resources or corporate giving personnel at your office.

Host an Event -

Host an event to help raise funds for the Chaplaincy, or request donations for special occasions, including a birthday or wedding. LECS is always looking for people to host fundraisers from hikes to shopping events to benefit the Chaplaincy. Whether you're hosting your own event or working within an already existing event, you can easily set up a personal fundraising page to collect donations for LEC-S. Some supporters even add a fundraising component to fitness challenges they are already signed up for, such as marathons and triathlons.

You might also consider using a special occasion, such as your wedding or birthday, to share your favorite cause with loved ones. Requesting donations instead of traditional gifts is a great way to spread the word about the vital work our Chaplains do. Request donations in lieu of gifts or flowers for special occasions, including a birthday or wedding. Use your special day to share your favorite cause with family and friends. Whether it's your birthday, wedding, anniversary or a holiday party, consider asking for donations to Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Sacramento in lieu of traditional gifts. For weddings, dozens of online giving portals or wedding registries allow you to include donations as a gift option. You may also create a personal fundraising page in celebration of your special occasion through our Web site. Personal fundraising pages include all the tools and resources you need to help you set goals, collect donations, e-mail your friends and family and track your progress. Personal fundraising pages aren't just limited to special occasions. You can set up a personal fundraising page to collect donations in connection with a personal fitness challenge or in honor or memory of someone special.

By using Amazon Smile, or free online giving services through JustGive or GoFundMe, your donations provide important financial support to continue Law Enforcement Chaplain Sacramento's services to those who are hurting.
